BuyerHQ ("we", "us", "our") is committed to protecting your privacy and complying with the Australian Privacy Principles set out in the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth). This policy explains what personal information we collect, how we use it, and your rights.

What we collect

Account details: name, email, phone number, password (hashed).
Buyer brief: budget, preferred locations, property type, timeline, notes.
Unlock requests: which properties you ask to unlock, any reason or note you provide, and our approval decision.
Optional buyer's agent intro preference and best time to call, if you opt in at signup.
Usage data: pages viewed, listings saved, searches, basic device and browser information.

How we use it

To match you with off-market and pre-market property opportunities.
To verify your buyer status before granting access to private listings.
To review and decide unlock requests so we can release street address, price, photos, and selling-agent details where appropriate.
If you opt in, to introduce you to an independent buyer's agent and share the contact details you provide (and relevant brief context) with that agent for the introduction.
To send service emails (account, listing alerts, unlock updates) and, with consent, marketing.
To improve the platform and prevent fraud or abuse.

Intent score

We may calculate an internal engagement ranking (an "intent score") from your account, buyer brief, and usage activity. This score is used by our team for matching and operational triage. It is not sold, and it is not shown as a public buyer profile. You can ask us about personal information we hold, including this processing, via the contact details below.

Sharing

We do not sell your data. We share information only as needed to run the service, including with selling agents or vendors when you unlock or enquire about a specific listing, with an independent buyer's agent when you have opted in for an introduction, and with service providers (hosting, email, analytics) bound by confidentiality.

Storage and security

Data is stored on managed cloud infrastructure with encryption in transit and at rest. Access is restricted to authorised staff. While we take reasonable steps to protect your data, no system is 100% secure.

Your rights

You can request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information at any time by emailing hello@buyerhq.com.au. You can unsubscribe from marketing emails using the link in any message.
